PRE-COLLEGE TRANSITION PREP
FOUR-DAY WORKSHOP
JULY 13 - 16, 2020
Monday through Thursday
10 AM - 4 PM

FOR RESILIENCE, AUTONOMY, AND WELL-BEING

This four-day workshop prepares young adults to navigate some of the most challenging hurdles they will face during their first year at college.

OBSTACLES ON THE JOURNEY

Rates of depression, anxiety and other mental health issues among college students are on the rise. College counseling centers are experiencing huge increases in demand, even as many students go untreated.

Mental health issues can result in lower academic performance and social challenges, and increase the probability of student burn out and emotional and physical stress.

OFFERING A PRO-ACTIVE APPROACH TO WELL-BEING AT COLLEGE

Using a strengths-based approach, this four-day workshop helps to foster autonomy, increase resilience, process hopes and fears, and teach tangible skills to help rising college freshman prepare to navigate the transition from home to college. The modules offered take a proactive approach to supporting your young adult’s health and well-being and to bolstering their emotional fortitude.
The PRE-COLLEGE TRANSITION PREP team includes experienced educators, licensed therapists, and health and wellness professionals with decades of experience working with young adults in high schools, colleges and universities, and summer camps.
